Wake Me Up – Avicii

The music world was shocked by the sudden death of Swedish DJ Avicii late last month – regular contributor Mena Bianco has prepared a crossword grammar review activity for his 2013 hit Wake Me Up. This was the closing track of 2014-2015 Tune Into English Roadshow – you can see a video here.

Volare – Dean Martin
Despite only finishing third in the 1958 contest, 60 years ago, Volare can probably claim to be the most commercially successful Eurovision song of all time. This low-level worksheet uses pictures and a puzzle for Dean Martin’s partly English-language version of Domenico Modugno’s Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu. This was a favourite in the the 2007 to 2009 Tune Into English Roadshow – you can see a video here.

– Over 325 Downloadable worksheets now online (including the 1974 Eurovision winner, Waterloo by ABBA)
– Download complete list of online worksheets
– See important dates in May for more resources.
Most of the worksheets have been written by your colleagues – perhaps you have prepared one and want to share it?
