  • Notes: This is the first single from Swedish pop group ABBA’s second album, Waterloo, and the first single to be credited as “ABBA”. The song won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest.
  • The title refers to a historical event: in the song a girl is about to surrender to a love story, just as Napoleon had to surrender at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
