June 2008 - Here Come The Holidays
Dear Teacher,
The school year is finally over! This month, to celebrate the arrival of Summer, there are two additions to the Downloadable Worksheets page of www.tuneintoenglish.com - thank you to Laura Casolero from Grumo Nevano for submitting The Beatles’ Here Comes The Sun and Mena Bianco from Giugliano for Holiday by Madonna.
In keeping with the Summer theme, The Song in the current issue of Speak Up, on newsstands now, looks at Summer Of ’69 by Bryan Adams - you can read about this by following the link on the home page of the Tune Into English website.
Appropriately, the newest addition to the Karaoke section of the website is Green Day’s Holiday - there are now almost 1,300 songs on the site, including all those mentioned in this newsletter, so your students can continue to practise their English over the Summer!
The Tune Into English Roadshow is now on it’s Summer Break, and thank you to everyone who hosted it this year - I look forward to returning next year.
