Dear Teacher,

With St. Valentine’s Day just a few days away you may want to use a love song in your classroom. The latest addition to the Downloadable Worksheets page of the Tune Into English website is Eternal Flame by The Bangles, a low level worksheet submitted by Analía Massa, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is also appropriate for Primary students, as is this month’s second new worksheet, Colours by Donovan submitted by Tina Lorenzani from Arconate (MI).

You can read about Donovan’s contribution to Yellow Submarine in this month’s issue of Speak Up, on sale now - The Song analyses the lyrics of The Beatles’ popular hit (also featured in the Tune Into English Roadshow for Kids for Scuola Primaria). You can read more about The Song by following the Speak Up link on the home page of www.tuneintoenglish.com.

Yellow Submarine is also featured in the Karaoke section of the website, along with over 400 other favourites – including, rather appropriately, Linkin Park’s Valentine’s Day.

This month also sees the publication of Team Up, the new course book for teachers of the Italian Scuola Superiore di Primo Grado. Published by ELI, this was written by Fergal Kavanagh, Catrin Morris and Claire Moore, and each volume contains four songs by Tune Into English. Further details can be found in the Teachers’ Area of the website.

We are proud to announce that on the same day it celebrated its first birthday, Tune Into English was selected as Site of the Week by Tecnica della Scuola. You can read the review on the Useful Links page of the Teachers' Area.
