May 2019 – the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci

Dear Teacher,

I hope you had a relaxing Easter break and are looking forward to the final weeks of the school year. This month marks the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, and our first worksheet this month is based on the song ‘Mona Lisa’.

May’s New Downloadable Worksheets

Both of this month’s new worksheets feature opposites activities.

Mona Lisa – Nat King Cole
This 1950 hit focuses on the mysterious smile in perhaps Leonardo Da Vinci’s most famous work of art, and the worksheet features a crossword.

Calvin Harris & Rag’n’Bone Man – Giant
This is one of this year’s biggest hits, with a worksheet written by Mena Bianco.

The Tune Into English Roadshow

The 2018-2019 tour concludes this month, with shows in Basilicata, Le Marche, Emilia Romagna and Lombardy. It has been a very good year, and the feedback has been excellent – thank you to all who have hosted the show this year, it has been a lot of fun!
